jorge’s legacy

My brother George has had many interests over his lifetime. Over the years I have been collecting items from our family’s past and legacy. In Jorge’s Legacy I incorporated most of the items that 1) meant something to him/us, 2) pieces that were from our family’s past, and 3) items that are iconic to us. As he is a lover of nature and birds it was only fitting that old prints from Audubon were key backgrounds.

George has always loved birds, so the prints in this work are all from Audubon’s paintings as well as old dice (ivory), as we all played a lot of games growing up on our father’s house.

Our grandfather Spencer senior and our dad as kids collected matchbooks. We also played a lot of games, thus old dice and items from our fathers childhood.
